[NTLUG:Discuss] winmodem (ugh)

i have found the chipset and downloaded the smartlink driver (slmdm-2.6.16)
Now it seems that kppp is dialing all the numbers twice.i hear the dial tone
then it dials way too many numbers.any advice,options,links?
