However, a shell script is still, in my mind,
programming, and your averague luser wouldn't be able to do it.
The execution environment be damned, code is still code and requires the
same
thought processes.
I'd like to take issue with this. I am about as average a Linux user as
comes down the pike and even I know how to write a shell script to automate
certain functions, and have done so. And I find writing scripts for
UNIX/Linux one hell of a lot easier than for any OS Bill has pawned off on
