[NTLUG:Discuss] Simulating M$oft responses to windows XP

Why is it any of "momma's" business what the end user is doing anyway? Once
we purchase and license the product, "momma" should leave us the heck alone.
It is times like these that I wish I had loads of money to burn so I could
call my high-roller lawyer friend and cause M$ some grief, or at least bad
press.
The press would probably help the Linux cause as well.
Just another brick in the wall on the way to "trusted computing/computers".
Now there's a euphemism for you.
Count me in for wanting the answer. Sorry for the off-topic.

I'd like to know the answer anyway. I've got some machines cut off from
the net, intentionally, and they still try to "call home to momma". I
don't want momma to know what they are doing, so they have to stay off
the net. This would make license handling much easier.
