A 2U rackmount. 
A U is 1.75" in height. 

1U = 1.75" tall
2U = 3.5"  tall
3U = 5.25" tall
4U = 7.0"  tall 
etc. 

Since most cards are taller than 3.5", on a 1U or 2U
computer, you have to mount any cards ( SCSI, video, etc ) 
sideways.
