I've got that set up:
squirrel mail
postfix ( with cyrus-sasl SMTPAUTH )
mysql
cyrus imap
cyrus sasl
spam asassin ( with mysql perferences )
on my mail.mylinuxguy.net server.

I'll post the cyrus-mysql config stuff tonight.

He're is an overview:
cyrus-sasl needs to be compiled with the mysql option.
Not sure if the RH rpms do that. I do my own compiles
for most of this stuff.

your cyrus-imap .config file needs to pass the mysql
query you want to use to the cyrus-sasl program. If you
have everything compiled correctly and configured correctly,
it works. ;)
