How about changing the boot order to be hard drive first?

I'm guessing you don't have SCSI hard drives, just a SCSI CDROM?  I had 
a problem like that a few years ago.  SCSI tape and CDROM, IDE HD's. 
Changing the boot order allowed unattended reboot.
