Hi Chris.
You might want to check out JBoss sometime. When deciding to switch from Weblogic to JBoss (and some other AppServers) I ran some performance tests. JBoss did not start as fast as some of the other
AppServers (although it did start faster than WL), but it WAS faster than all of the other WebServers, includling Orion and Oracle 9iAS. It also supports clustered EJBs, complete with load balancing.
