Add to the mailertable

.aol.com	smtp:[mail.comcast.com]

I think you missed the brackets in your first try.  The brackets will 
tell sendmail to ignore your MX for SMTP delivery to that (aol.com) 
domain.  Don't forget the leading "." on domain the to relay.  Also do 
not have aol.com listed as a local domain.
