[NTLUG:Discuss] USB Keyboards (again)

Howdy,
  I have installed Mandrake 9 and Suse 8.0 or 8.1 on 2 systems that could 
only use USB keyboards.  I tried Peanut and Gentoo and the keyboard did not 
work during the install.  I still have Suse on the first system.  If it 
matters, I can find out which version.  Mandrake read the keyboard fiine, 
but messed up the video.  This is a little embedded system and I had no 
choice about changing the video card.  On another system with no PS2 
ports(it has them, but they don't work) Mandrake 9 worked fine for the 
keyboard.and is still running.
