I use flphoto - it didn't install right off the bat - some header
files were missing and it's Makefile needed some attention. However, this
may depend on what distro you have and what version of FLTK you have.
Once it's installed, it can print 1" thumbnails, one, two or four images
per page, a calendar or a matted portrait.
It has a few warts (like it always defaults the paper size to A4 instead
of letter - so you have to remember to click that whenever you print.
It also didn't like some JPEG images that I loaded - it showed stripes
instead of the image - and crashed when I tried to print them.
It could be better - but it works acceptably most of the time.
