[NTLUG:Discuss] Problem with SAMBA share directory contents sync on client.

I'm having some trouble with an NT application seeing new files in a
SAMBA share, it appears to be a problem with getting the NT client to
see new files (ie. refresh the directory listing) so that the
application will do it's thing. New files created on the local hard
drive work fine, it's just drives mapped to a network share.

Is there some way to force the NT client to automatically update what it
knows about the files in the share, or is there some SAMBA config option
that I'm missing.

If we can't get this to work, then we'll probably have to code our own
application that will run on the Linux box. I'm already started on it
just in case, but I'm having to relearn as I go since it's been a while
since I've done any real coding (Pascal). The workings of the app. are
simple enough in theory, but making sure everything works like it should
requires a good bit of detail.

Anyone have any ideas?

Stephen
