Sounds like a DNS issue. You might also try running named as a cacheing
nameserver on your gateway box? Perhaps that might help.

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] IPMasquerading - ppp

Am using my Mandrake9.0 machine in the other room for gateway to
internet via dialup isp and works to a certain extent but with
limitations.

For instance, I can access www.yahoo.com but not www.google.com.

The command I have in rc.local is:
iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -j MASQUERADE -o ppp+ -s 192.168.0.0/24
-d 0/0

Any clues as to what could be limiting my internet access to this machine?
(When I previously dialed up my ISP direct from this machine, all worked
fine.)
(The Mandrake machine has no such limitations.)
