[NTLUG:Discuss] How to get Soundblaster to autoload?

I had recompiled kernel, etc. Soundblaster driver does not now get wired up
automatically.

I got previous help from Kevin:

> For a running kernel, you should be able to force a load with "insmod
> snd-emu10k1".  It should autoload next time you reboot.

The insmod command does not work, nor does "insmod snd-emu10k1"

But, I did figure out that "modprobe emu10k1" does work. Only thing is,
it doesn't autoload on subsequent boots.

How do I get it to autoload?
