Cardctl looks for certain things to identify the card. When I installed
the wlan-ng drivers my Prism2 based card worked but my Orinoco card
stopped working. I found that it thought it was a different card and
when I modified the pcmcia configs to identify the right card everything
was fine. The cardctl does make mistakes.

`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here...'
