Here is the link where I found out about the realtek drivers.

How can fix the pcmcia configs? When I was using the linux-wlan to attempt
to get it working I created and entry in the wlan-ng.config like they did
here http://www.practicallynetworked.com/support/wpc11_linux.htm. I tried
the manfid I get with cardctl and the one on the site. Is there any way to
get my pcmcia to think this card is a prism2 card? I can't find any
definitive info about the ver.4 card so I'm not actually sure it is a prism2
chipset.

Can you provide links?

Cardctl looks for certain things to identify the card. When I installed
the wlan-ng drivers my Prism2 based card worked but my Orinoco card
stopped working. I found that it thought it was a different card and
when I modified the pcmcia configs to identify the right card everything
was fine. The cardctl does make mistakes.
