Your query is way too open-ended.  Short answer: yes.

SuSE OpenExchange and Bynari are fine if you want to duplicate what
Exchange does (A monster Exchange server and all-in-one windows Outlook
client).

If we're talking linux clients the field of possibilities expands to
hundreds of solutions.  At work for instance I juggle Lotus Notes (under
Wine, iNotes in the Fall), Evolution, Mozilla Groupware, LDAP, iPlanet,
KOrganizer, Tomcat (dozens of java servlet options there), and, of course,
Qtopia for my Zaurus...
