[NTLUG:Discuss] CSH to Perl conversions

Howdy Guys,
I have been messing around with some csh scripts which I need to port to 
Perl. I am putting them in Perl so I have some cross platform compatability, 
and extended capabilities. I am pretty new to scripting honestly, and I took 
a small short Perl class, but that doesnt give me all the experience, or 
erase my ignorance to quite alot of things. What I was wondering if there is 
anything out there that will help automate the conversions? I was looking 
around, and not finding much, but with so much out there to learn I figured 
it would be best to just ask.

I have initially started just rewriting the scripts from scratch, and that 
is going well but slow. I then started tinkering with search and replace and 
that seems to have gotten me some pretty good progress, but as I was saying 
I am still pretty new so its taking some time, and I am struggling at times. 
I have been given some pretty quick deadlines and I was not given much 
warning so I am looking for a quicker solution. I appreciate any tips or 
suggestions you might have. I have some good Perl books, and they are
