FYI I've had ISPs flat out LIE to me. There WAS filtering on port 25. Just
because they say there isn't, doesn't mean there isn't. And sometimes it
might not be the ISP filtering it but the ISPs upstream provider! ehh ehh!
Yeah! I've started putting a secondary SMTP service on another port. I
think sendmail uses port 537 by default for that.
At least I remember a time when 537 (or some such port) came preconfigured
in sendmail. (I have of course sworn off sendmail because I'm not gonna go
Bug Hunting for security issues in sendmail..but hey! To each his own.
) )
