The keybinding part is window manager specific (Enlightenment for me), but
you might be able to adapt it to yours.  I used xev to show me the
keycodes.

I can script it to do whatever and it works perfectly with 0 drain on
system resources.  I say this because I tried to install the Windoze
software for another wireless keyboard of mine, and it was a joke - poor,
unstable performance, used 99% of the cpu, and allowed little
customization.
