Maybe state it as more precise or exact or selective rather than more 
clear.  

Specifying "command line"  would leave the choice to you, (the reader).
If you specify command line, you leave the choice to the reader - gui 
terminal window or terminal mode.
It usually doesn't make any difference, but in some cases it's better to 
leave the gui behind and work in  terminal mode.
So I would say, specify only when necessary, and just use the term 
"command line" when it doesn't' make any difference and leave the choice 
to the reader.
 "Command line" is a term we all understand rather well.
