You did have a signed attachment to each of your messages using a
pkcs7-signature. PGP and GPG are the most common forms of generating
this signature, but not the only. The signature is supposed to be used
for verification of the sender. My question was not aimed directly at
you, but a question in general about what makes it necessary to sign
every message that someone sends out?
