[NTLUG:Discuss] scanners

Got a HP OfficeJet D155xi multipurpose machine (including scanner) on my 
LAN (with a static IP)
Running Mandrake 9.1 on box on the same LAN (DHCP)
Navigating: Mandrake Control Center -> Hardware -> ScannerDrake: Add 
Scanner, etc, and it says it has to be configured with PrinterDrake, but 
PrinterDrake says it is configured - meanwhile, no scanner.
Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
