I currently run Gnome2 on RedHat.
Gnome has 'work spaces' that are sort of like virtual desktops.
You can startup a program when Gnome starts by placing them
in a 'startup folder' ( or menu...not really a folder )
What I'd like to do is be able to select the work space that
the application starts in. Does anyone know if that's possible.
I'd really like to be able to associate the workspaces with
X-Windows sessions... i.e
workspace 1 = DISPLAY:0.0
workspace 2 = DISPLAY:0.1
workspace 3 = DISPLAY:0.2
workspace 4 = DISPLAY:0.3
etc.
Does anyonw know if you can do this with Gnome or anything
else on Linux? I've gotten two monitors working... where
one monitor is DISAPLAY:0.0 and the other is DISPLAY=0.1
but I'd like to do this on a single monitor with virtual
desktops.
Any info would be appreciated.
