Howdy Guys,
For the life of me I can't find the archives or where I can search them. I
am going to have to install about a dozen Linux based firewalls at various
locations around the company soon. I remember reading about knoppix, and its
ability to run a complete Linux distro from the CD. Server gets hacked, then
you just reboot it. Replace later with new passwords, etc. I am wanting this
functionality with its intended use as text only web proxy, and firewall for
ultimate security.

I can't seem to find anything like that, but we discussed it here. Was that
just conceptional or is there something out that I can use to accomplish
this. I would appreciate any linkage, or help you guys can provide. I want
to be able to build my configuration, burn it to a cd, and then be rocking,
and rolling. I am soooo sorry to bring this up again, but I want to be smart
with this. The execs' are pushing for just RedHat, but I think we can be
smarter than that. Especialy after we were at the bad end of a root kit
recently. Thanks again, have a great day, and take care.

Paul Drew
