It could be better - but we're kinda constrained by the need to build six
two-seat simulators into a couple of truck trailers.  There were really
tight constraints on what hardware could be fitted in - especially with
the need to air condition the whole space.

I didn't know they were using GNOME on the after action review stations,
my group uses KDE - but the graphics PC's used for the helmet, the plasma
panel and the cockpit displays all run raw X on Gentoo.
