There is actually a whole market for surge surpressors targeted for Home 
Theater type use.  I have one from Monster Cable 
(http://monstercable.com/power/).  APC also has some.  You can select 
the coax cable option on their surge selector page 
(http://apc.com/tools/surge_selector/).  I'm sure there are others as well.
