I'm pretty easy... OF COURSE it's a great idea for a presentation.
(realize, anything Linux makes for a great idea though!!)
Some other things is runtime (or post runtime analysis) montoring
and restructuring based on runtime characteristics. One example is how to
partition when you have more than one drive to maximize
performance (instead of just doing a generic RAID-0 thing).
Another (more complicated) is dynamic restructuring of runtime
executables to ensure page boundary alignments whenever possible
(e.g. GNU Rope ... back when Nat did interesting things before
quick $'s became his way of life).
