  I've had cisco's fail overnight.  I've seen Dells, Compaqs, IBM's fail 
after a few hours of operation.

  Sometimes it is the luck of the draw.

  I've had good luck with VIA chipsets in embedded products and in server 
situations.  I've had bad luck with AMD and Intel.  I've had good luck 
with AMD and Intel.  I've had spreadsheets not calculate right and had 
Intel deny there was a problem, until someone rubbed their nose in it.
  
  Fry's is particulary bad about having seconds for equipment.  

  "Burn" everything in several weeks before you trust it.
