Only if you consider your comment to supersede and null and void all 
others, which is a rare case.

[Whether the list is archived or not doesn't matter],  we should do our 
best to make it appear coherent [to all], and bottom posting is the best 
way to do that, "...as it makes it easier to read from top to bottom 
following the series of events."

[Especially] when contributing to mail lists and newsgroups, we should 
think of others who are reading and trying to gain information.

 Is it any harder to bottom post? [No]       So why is it such a 
difficult issue? [It's not.]
