Oh for the days when email wasn't screwed up with all the garbage we have
now...I remember when everyone used "mail" or "elm" or (later) "pine" (on
Unix, on VMS the mailer was a little different, and people on VM tended to
use "profs"). The bottom line, though, is that email just *worked*. The
only annoyance being the rather silly ">" that sendmail would insert in
front of any body-text line starting with a capitalized "From", to
distinguish it from the headers & keep it from confusing other sendmails
down the line.
