I'm trying to get a Zoom ISA V.90 modem working under Linux and I'm having
some trouble I'm hoping someone will recognize this and be able to point me
in the right direction.
So far I can dial into the modem it picks up and plays my message fine and I
hear the tone. The modem the promptly hangs up and the message I find in
the log file reads as follows:
08/08 19:45:06 yS1 recording voice file
/var/spool/voice/incoming/v-24975-1060389899.rmd
08/08 19:45:06 yS1 Venus V.90 USB U052099a: Illegal sample rate (134636614)
08/08 19:45:06 yS1 vgetty: Illegal compression method 0x0002, speed
134636614
08/08 19:45:06 yS1 vgetty: Could not record a message
--
08/08 19:45:06 yS1 reading program vgetty configuration from config file
/etc/mgetty+sendfax/voice.conf
My configuration shows as follows with regards to recording
rec_compression 131
rec_speed 8000
Any help, pointers, or someone want to come over and fix this, would be
appreciated. Oh and for those who will undoubtedly try and point it out. I
know that it shows the USB version, supposedly it is compatible via what
little bit of info I've found through google, google groups, and the vocp
project page.
