Phil Howard, a long time Linux Guru from the DFW area recently moved to
West Virginia. He still hosts many sites for people around here. He also
secured the domain NTLUG for our group.

His DiskZapper utility which cleans hard drives to binary zero made it
to C/Net's download.com.

It's a free download. It's also in the "Windows" utility second.

C/Net had some people complain in the ratings that they couldn't get it
to fit on a floppy disk. Of course, being M$ people, they didn't
understand they needed rawrite2.exe which Phil has on the download site.

My favorite part of this story is that when a M$ guy goes to wipe his
hard drive he gets to see the Linux Kernel booting up on the screen.

I left a positive rating and said USE RAWRITE.

:-)

Things are the little things that make me happy.

Hey Phil, 'way to go!
