why? "Because it's there" ;) There is no definitive answer on if it
speeds things up or not. Everyone that has done it says 'yes' but that
might be because they spent $20 - $50 to do it. Who wants to say 'it's
slower'?
The Direct TiVos and TiVo2's all have 32meg of ram. The older SA Tivo's
are the only ones with 16Meg. The space is there... they just wanted to
save a few $$$ per unit and only give them 16Meg.
