The moderator has done exactly what should be done when a
thread starts taking a life of its own without end.. usually
due to a disagreement that is unlikely to be resolved.

Since this is a semi-public (subscription) forum, discussions
like this will happen from time to time.  And with time,
we all learn ways to let things end on our own.  But when
that doesn't work... the moderator will step in and make
an announcement to take it off list.  We need to listen
to him (even if we disagree with him, btw).

Let's get back to Linux and leave the heated political
issue to some other forum.  In fact, this is probably
the millionth thread (on many forums) I've seen on this
issue... some stories, same arguments, same lack of resolution...
nothing new said... let's move on please!
