Steve -

I just wanted to drop you a line and publicly thank you for your post to NTLUG on 7 August about the Linux position at Bank of America. I made it through the interview process (against almost 200 applicants) and started with the Linux Design and Engineering group at Bank of America this Monday. I am house-hunting now and will bring my wife and daughter up to Dallas from Austin in the next month or so.

I am tickled to death to be in the Dallas area, and the job looks like it is going to be a little slice of heaven. The people and culture here are amazing and the technology absolutely dwarfs other datacenters I've been in (Dell and Microsoft to name a few).

I've been subscribed to the list for a while from Austin, but mostly lurked. Now that I'm local, I will try to catch meetings and get to know everyone.
