On my install (base CUPS 1.1.19, all I have added were
a few backends for specific printers we use here), I
have Raw, DYMO, EPSON, HP, and OKIDATA.
Here is how I got to this configuration page (my
printer name is "testprn"):
- Printers tab
- "Modify Printer" on testprn
- Continue
- Device: AppSocket
- Device URI: socket://<ip>:9100/
- Make: Raw
- Model: Raw Queue (en)
Do you see these settings in there? You can also use
the lpadmin command if the web system isn't working
correctly for you. Also quite a few X11 applications
that you can try (I think KDE's control panel will
manage CUPS too).
