[NTLUG:Discuss] Q: how does accerated web services ( ev1 and net zero ) work?

This isn't really Linux per se... but... 

Does anyone how how the accelerated web services work? 
Both NetZero and EV1 advertise these. They say that you 
get DSL speeds over a 56K dialup. I'm wondering if you'd 
get faster downloads (6MB ) over DSL ( 1.5MB ). Just curious. 
I'd upgrade my webserver/webclient if I can get faster 
downloads. ;)
