I am leaning towards a re-installation. Run rpm -Va and look for anything damaged or corrupted in /bin, /sbin, /usr/bin and /usr/sbin. If so, try to uninstall and re-install the broken RPM. Other than that, it will probably be faster to reinstall than to t-shoot it.
