[NTLUG:Discuss] ot- first user take long timetocompleteloadwebpage.

Well, the information you gave surely points out that the problem is in the fetching of login information from the database. The query which you fired, does it return results? This might be a case of a deadlock at the database record level. Try re-starting the database if this is not a production system we are talking about. A restart will remove all the locks on the database records and will also kill all waiting clients.

I know a restart is a very crude way of overcoming this problem but I ten to rely on it since it works fast.

Let me know if this helped.

Thanks and Regards,

Harshal Vaidya.

the first page return personal portal objects and recoeds from databas after

the user have been authenticated.

after days trace, I find some facts:

1. It happened since we move the web/jrun server to DMZ and change LDAP

server to subdomain.

(all host names/IPs are configured correctlly)

2. tail from log file, I can 'see' it hang on the step of login to the

repository (database).

so, it may be a issue of web/jrun server and database connection issue?!

thanks for the help.
