HI Ralph.

I have a PDA & a laptop both with fully functional 802.11b.  You don't
need a WAP to start or run a wireless network (Wireless companies say
you do so they can sell you one...).  All you really need is another
802.11b card.

I will be bringing laptop (and maybe PDA) to check the system I am
trying to get up.
