I like this answer, it seems easy enought to implement, sorta like when I put 
"127.0.0.1 ad.doubleclick.com" in my hosts file. :-)

You could also bring up an HTTP proxy server.  By funnelling everything thru 
there, no only can you reduce your bandwidth usage, but I'd be suprised if you 
couldn't make it redirect/rewrite your "bad URLs" too.  I haven't used it, but 
the one I've heard the most about is Squid.  [A quick check on their website 
indicates it will at least block them, see
