MSIE is insecure.
MSIE is prepackaged and readily available on all new MS computers.
Users use MSIE because it's there.
So what can be done on the server side to protect this kind of security
breech? Can't the proxy server determine that the the attachment type is
'evil' and prevent it's download?
I'm going to take a look at my squid and dansguardian (www.dansguardian.org)
setup to see if I can filter out this security hole. I'll also look at a
wholesale browser change for some of my customers. There HAS to be a better
way! I'll let you know what I find out. If anyone has any
suggestions...lemme know.
