Yes.
If you have multiple display resolutions set up in XF86COnfig, you can
cycle through them with a Ctrl-Alt-] and Ctrl-Alt-[ (I think that's
true of all Window Managers - but I guess there could be exceptions).
I don't think it's distro-specific - but if you let the system
configure the XF86Config file automatically, it may only have
put one resolution in there - so you'd be cycling through the
same resolution over and over.
