For two reasons.  One, I've never seen an installer that did well with
resolving dependencies once you start really narrowing down the install.
And two, I was just hoping to find a pre-configured distro to simplify
things.

I will check out freshmeat again, but I didn't find anything useful last
time.  I did find this Xenix distro on distrowatch.com:

Anyone have any experience with it?  Sounds like it might do what I need.

If it comes to that, I'll do it myself.  However, I'm sure someone has done
this before, and I'm not one to duplicate work.  Call it what you will: lazy
or efficient.  :)
