Greetings from the Java Dude
I am trying to set up a solution with a streaming media component.
What I have so far;
Webserver/Application server that is serving up multiple webpages
A store of MPEG (Mostly MPEG-2) Media clips
FFMPeg translating MPEG-2 to desired format
What I need;
For the browsers to recognize what is coming at them, and either start playing the stream themselves directly, or kick off the appropriate application and start have that start playing the incoming stream.
I have tried getting this going with MPEG2 & RealMedia formats, w/o success. I have had different interesting failures, but I need a success here.
I have tried setting the HTTP Response MIME Types, but the browsers seem to be having some difficulty with that (or what I am setting it too)?
If this is going to be more than a couple of minutes work, please call. All reasonable rate requests will be honored. I really need this solved, and quickly. I can be reached by telephone at the number in my SIG.
Thanks,
Steve
