For the installer, not really, updated kernels support most SATA chipsets,
but the newer Sil usually found onboard are still excluded.  The Adaptec
SATA cards using Sil are well supported, even with the FC1 installer.  Suse
has the same issues, though they did do an updated install image last week
to add support for Sil. Fedora Core 2 should work when it comes out.
Currently, severl people are installing onto PATA and copying over to SATA
once the kernel is updated.
