Any known issues with burning DVDs from Linux (Mdk 9.2) using a
burning installed in an external firewire box?

I miss the ease of SCSI where I didn't have to worry about the
Master/Slave two-channel EIDE limitations. I want a dma133 HD,
DVD burner, and DVD player all on the same box. Originally, I was
planning to have HD on a channel and then the two DVD drives
as Master/Slave on the other. Well, I think that might cause
problems when doing disc to disc copies. 

The external drive box (attached to A7N8X-X Deluxe on-board
firewire) would allow me to hook the burner up to a diff machine too.
