90 watts?!?!? Are you sure?

Well, if so - that fits my theory very well.

It seems extremely likely that the Celeron needs more
than 90 watts. That's an awfully low wattage power
supply. I'm suprised it's enough to boot the AMD system.

Can you unplug some memory and all the peripherals and
see if it'll boot then? With just 90 watts, it's going
to be pretty marginal and every little helps!

Dunno about the Celeron - but a 600MHz Athlon CPU chip consumes
45 watts all by itself - that's not including RAM (between 10 and
40W probably), 20 to 30W for the motherboard, another 10W for
the hard drive, probably 5W each for sound card, NIC, etc.

You've probably busted the 90W limit with just the CPU, motherboard
and RAM!

Check out this chart:

A 90W PSU would maybe do for a laptop - but not for a machine
that isn't engineered for low power consumption.
