Call up Pat Buchanan and Ross Perot and ask if they have any
suggestions.

This issue has already been settled politically; you're acutely aware of
the downside of free trade because your particular sector of the economy
is currently being affected by it.  But the political debate is over.
No major politicians will attempt to reopen it.  Sorry.

In any case, shouldn't this whole discussion be on another list?
