That's not quite true. The RPM installs stuff in places like 
/usr/lib/mozilla and such.

On the thread of this discussion though....I tend to download the 
nightly mozilla build and compile it with XFT support once or twice a 
week. I have it automated, and if anyone would like the script I'd be 
happy to share it.
